Cluster
scheme
Throughout 2005/6, our Cluster scheme
brought together teachers from neighbouring schools
to review and experiment with equipment and try out
new teaching practices, creating a forum for continuing
professional development.
Following a successful trial in a number of schools
around the UK, we have now extended the scheme in two
regions, in partnership with the regional Science Learning
Centres and Institute of Physics network of trainers.
 
Groups of schools in the North East and West Midlands
are already organising twilight training about SEP resources
- participants can exchange ideas about teaching physical
science with their colleagues and receive free equipment
and publications to use in their schools. IOP network
co-ordinators and other trainers will be facilitating
these session six times a year. To find out more contact
