What is it?
The new programme of CPD support from SEP for science teachers and technicians takes a flexible approach to professional development. Each session is bespoke, tailor-made for each individual science department. The aim is to develop subject knowledge and practical expertise in teachers and support staff. Encouraging innovation in the classroom and improving the effectiveness of the teaching and learning taking place. |

| Our focus is on the use of practical work, supporting effective use of the Innovations in Practical Work series of resource materials, and integrating Learning Skills for Science for effective teaching and learning of the physical sciences, all the way from KS3 through to Post-16. |

How does it work?
We work with you to design your own CPD programme.
Our CPD support programmes are designed together with the whole science department, teachers and technicians. All sessions are designed to meet the needs of the science department and the personal development aspirations of individuals. The CPD support from SEP is flexible - it can be on-going, a single session or a series of sessions over a number of weeks or terms. Designed to suit you and your team. |

Who is it for?
Designed for whole science departments or cluster groups, participants should be science teachers or technicians in a school, or lecturers in further education colleges, for learners aged 11-19 years. |
